about

Hello.

My name is Steve and I conceived this project after the unfortunate passing of Jason Molina.

After months of submissions, remixes, last-minute changes, and hundreds of emails, I have compiled something that speaks to Jason's memory, and relates feelings about his death from bands and artists across the globe. Humbling, at best, to be entrusted with your songs, and for that I thank you.

Share this far and wide, proud of what you've done.

All money goes to jasonashleymolina@gmail.com, via PayPal.

If you have any issues with the downloads, if something is mis-credited, or if you don't see your song here, email songsmolina@gmail.com and I will fix it straight away. Please understand, I've been contacted on three or four different social media platforms, and had a ton of emails and file names to consolidate, and I'm just one guy. So, apologies in advance if track numbers are off, or if I spelled something wrong, or if I forgot your remark. I'll fix promptly, just let me know.

The album art was done by Zak Duff (www.facebook.com/zduffart?hc_location=stream). Thanks Duff. Buy a print from him, he's good people.

Share this, tweet this, buy this, love this.

Thanks, everyone.

Requiescat in pace, Jason.

Love,
Steve Vineis

Track Name: The Book-Burners - "It's Lonely On the Way to Heaven"
Your days are lovely in color
Your days are bright and they're strong
You will live for the love
That falls from above
May the light always be long

And the deep you'll fall into
The dark that pulls you in close
The battle is lost
At terrible cost
But it's the love, the love that you know

It's lonely on the way to heaven
It's lonely on the way home
It's lonely all night
But don't give up the light
My friend, you're never alone

And the hole, the cold, and the frozen
The weight of permanent fate
Is nothing to us
We live for the trust
Of the good, the decent, and brave
